BEE

Gender: Mare

Color: Bay

Breed: Oldenburg

Bee is a gorgeous, sweet mare. She was imported from Germany as a young horse and had a successful career as a dressage horse with her amateur owner before coming to Haile Equestrian. Bee has competed to 3rd level dressage with amateur riders. She is a big expressive mover and easy to ride. She is sweet, kind, and has a great work ethic. She also enjoys jumping, both as a hunter in the arena or schooling cross country. She is a versatile, extremely high quality mare that is an exciting addition to our farm!

BREEZY

Gender: Mare

Color: Chestnut

Breed: Appaloosa Sport Horse

breezy.jpg

In 2000, Breezy was purchased as our owners show horse. Prior to this Breezy was primarily used for trail riding and parades. After a season of training, Breezy started her local showing career. In their first year showing together, they received Grand Champion High Point in their division at the county fair and went on to the Ohio State Fair, where they finished in the Top 5 in Hunter Hack. Over their next two years showing together, they competed in dressage, hunters, competitive trail riding, showmanship, cross country jumping, and gymkhana events.

Breezy is now an experienced lesson horse, and has taught countless riders (of all ages). She loves to school cross country and jump around the arena. She's great out on the trails and loves to travel - you've never seen her walk faster than when she's pointed at an open horse trailer door. She is one of the most versatile horses on the farm, safe enough for a first time rider, yet fun and exciting for more advanced students to learn something new on every week.

Clifford is certainly the most colorful horse at Haile Equestrian. He is a sorrel tobiano Paint gelding with a flaxen mane & tail. He is a sweetheart in every way. In his prior years, he spent many years as a lesson and camp horse, as well as a trail horse before finding his way to us. He is a fast favorite at the farm, suitable for beginner to intermediate riders.

DOC

Gender: Gelding

Color: Red Dun

Breed: Quarter Horse

Doc is a red dun Quarter Horse that joined our program in Fall 2013.  Before coming to our farm, Doc was a mounted posse horse.  He competed in rides, events, and competitions that tested his skill of being quiet & fearless through obstacle courses.  After that, he was sold to a family as a trail riding horse for young children.  When they needed to reduce their number of horses, we purchased Doc for our program.  He has been one of our favorite additions to the program.  He truly loves his job teaching the tiniest of kids to ride.  His soft gaits and kind demeanor make him priceless to us!

jewel-hdr.jpg

JEWEL

Gender: Mare

Color: Palomino

Breed: Quarter Horse

Jewel, the daughter of our foundation horse, Breezy, was born on Regina’s family farm in Ohio in 2002. As a foal, she showed in halter and liberty classes as Regina’s 4H production project. As a yearling, she also showed at the Ohio State Fair in halter and lunge line classes.

Jewel moved to Florida with Regina as she was reaching riding age. In 2005, Jewel began her training under saddle and as many would say, was “born broke”. She was very easy to train and her gentle demeanor made her very easy to bring along. After a few months, Jewel became a part of our leasing program. While she can be a bit lazy, she is a relaxing and easy horse to ride. She is one of the most personable horses at Haile Equestrian and is always looking for a good scratching. Jewel loves to go out to hunter paces and school cross country. Has shown dressage and schools second level. Much like her mother, Breezy, she is one of the most versatile horses on the farm, safe enough for a first time rider, yet fun and exciting for more advanced students to learn something new on every week. She also happily jogs and lopes around a western lesson. She is an all around amazing mare!

kit-hdr.jpg

KIT

Gender: Mare

Kit was born at Jana Quarter Horse Farm in Williamsburg, Pennsylvania. Her sire was a blue roan foundation-bred Quarter Horse. She was started under saddle by a young rider and was later sold to a hunter/jumper farm in Pennsylvania. They continued her training while using her for lessons. While wintering in Ocala for the HITS show circuit, Kit’s owners brought her down to show. At the time, she was jumping 2’6 courses with lead changes. Before they left to head back north to their home farm, we purchased Kit from the farm to use in our lesson and leasing program. Kit enjoys working with novice and intermediate riders, including jumping.

Mira 2.jpg

MIRA

Gender: Mare

Color: Bay

Breed: Dutch Warmblood

Mira was born in the Netherlands and raised in a young jumper program by her breeder. She came from a successful line of show jumping horses and competed successfully in Holland. Her half brother, Hamlet, was one of the most successful jumping horses of this decade.

Mira was sold by her breeder to another farm in Holland who imported her to the United States. In the US she competed on the A circuit in both hunters and jumpers. After competing for several years, she was purchased by our sister farm, Eclipse Sporthorses LLC, as a broodmare to add her prestigious bloodlines to our breeding program. Mira had a lovely filly in 2011 who is being raised on our other farm just outside of Gainesville. Due to her late foaling date in 2011, we decided to skip a year breeding her and have her join our riding program at Haile Equestrian in the meantime. Mira had a foal named “Ichabod” in 2013 and is due to have another foal in the spring of 2014.

pEDRO 4.jpg

PEDRO

Gender: Gelding

Color: Bay Roan

Breed: Quarter Horse

Pedro is a Quarter Horse, but was born into a life of racehorses. He never raced himself, but was a "pony horse" on the track for the first 9 years of his life, meaning that he was one of the horses that led the racehorses along the track to the starting gate. He has traveled all over the country as a pony horse on the race track. When his former owner no longer needed him on the track, we purchased him. While he was very well-trained, he had never seen a jump before and needed a more formal education. He quickly learned his new job and is a happy guy. This guy is an absolute favorite on the farm. He's big, gorgeous, and the sweetest guy! He is a rockstar to school cross county and loves the hunter paces. He is a saint at the horse shows and will help you win your first blue ribbon. He has been shown dressage and hunters with great success.

Tatty 2.jpg

Tatty

Gender: Gelding

Color: Palomino

Breed: Haflinger

Tatty is Mr. Personality - he is a character in the barn and is a charming, sweet gelding with a great work ethic under saddle.Tatty was raised on a Haflinger farm in Ohio by his breeder. He was trained in dressage and later sold to a lady in Texas. After having Tatty for a couple years, his owner just didn’t ‘click’ with Tatty and decided to find him a home where he could have a job. Tatty came to us in the Summer of 2012 and we just adore him. He has a beautiful face and charming personality. He is often teased for his droopy lower lip as he naps in the cross ties. Tatty is always looking to catch a quick nap before his lessons. He is a very fun horse to ride and enjoys teaching beginners. He is a very active horse in our lesson and leasing program, specializing in beginner and novice lessons. He loves to go out to the hunter paces and school cross country. He also excels in dressage and is a favorite mount for our dressage students. He also rides western for our beginner and novice students. Don't be fooled by his size, this guy is the total package!
